Why It’s Sensible for Indonesia to Manufacture EVs as National Car

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Racer and automotive observer Fitra Eri Purwotomo reveals why it’s more sensible for Indonesia to have electric cars as its national car. According to Eri, electric vehicles (EVs) are easier to manufacture as opposed to internal combustion engine cars.

Over 10,000 electric vehicles now registered in Cambodia

Mr. Phon Rim, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, said that as of September 2025, there were 10,568 electric vehicles registered in Cambodia, including 7,187 cars, 671 tricycles, and 2,710 motorcycles.
